1975 Blonde Fender Stratocaster- Purchased new by the owner in 1976 from Victor's House of Music in Des Moines. "Not too long after having this guitar the whammy bar threaded portion broke off inside the tail piece and I was unable to extract it. I ended up drilling a hole in the tail piece (just in front of the broken part) all the way through to the back of the guitar. I made a new whammy bar out of a large coat hanger, the type you'd find in a restaurant coat rack. I threaded the end of the bar, put a nut on it and put a locking collar on the front part of it and it remains that way even today. It works absolutely perfectly". Look closely at the pics and you'll see the modification. Thanks to Jimi Hendrix, the color of this guitar makes it worth more than others of this same era. Estimated street price: $3500+

1930s Selmer Saxophone - This amazing gem was purchased well used in 1943. It is a Selmer Eb alto sax and is silver plated. It only has one tiny dent just below the bell. It was purchased in Fort Dodge at a store called Mid-Bell Music Co. There is still a Mid-Bell store in Iowa. Estimated street price: $6000+
1930s Hohner Accordeon - Purchased used by the current owner in the 1940s, this Accordeon was bought in Liberty Center. It is believed to be German made and the owner still takes it out and plays it once in a while. Nice. Estimated street price: ?
70s Ludwig Drum Set - Who can resist a set of vintage Luddies?
1975 Marshall Big M Cabinet - Purchased in the 80s by the owner. This cabinet was manufactured in New York by Marshall's American distributor - Unicord. Manufactured for only about a year, they came equiped with Eminence speakers in either a 4-12 or 2-12 configuration.
Some true Oldies from the 20s and a set of 1966 Pearl President drums - nice !
This is an Apollo Wah Wah with Siren, Surf and Tornado The owner was given this pedal in the 70s. "I don't know if it currently works or not but I remember it was quite the attention getter back in those days".
These 4 items pictured came from one owner - Micro Fazer by Univox~sounds like early Johnny Winter type phaser. LPB Power Booster by Electro Harmonix ~ Just plain made your guitar louder. Tone Equalizer by Tru-Tone ~ A passive equilizer with RCA type plug ends. Black Finger Guitar Sustainer by Electro Harmonix ~ basically an early compressor that didn't sound all that great. All of these were bought right here in Iowa.
